In this workshop we will make a beautiful little box containing a matching tiny book. These make great presents, if you can bear to give them away ! The structures are simple to achieve, and the last time I did this class, the students found that they had the materials and the time to make two sets.
I will provide all the basic materials for you to make the box and the book, including some stunning handmade daphne paper from Nepal for the coverings.
I will provide all the materials for making books and boxes : foam core, boards, cover papers, paper for pages, thread for stitching the book, bookbinders glue, etc.
I also provide the essential equipment and notes.
There will be a charge of $15 per person to cover all this.
If you happen to have any of your own papers and stuff that you want to include in the books as well, feel free to bring things along.
